Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) seeks a VP, Life & Annuity Risk to lead enterprise risk management for long-term insurance liabilities.

Based in Nashville with hybrid work and travel to Jersey City, you will oversee ALM models, model risk governance, and Bermuda EBS activities, reporting to the L&A Risk Officer. The role requires 10+ years in life/annuity risk and strong actuarial modelling expertise, with credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience with long-term insurance liabilities.
• Strong Life & Annuity and financial modeling experience; credentialed actuary preferred.
• Deep knowledge of life and annuity insurance/reinsurance, ALM, and capital frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Bermuda EBS reserve and capital framework.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to defend a risk position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ERM program integration with business partners for oversight and review.
• Lead ERM support for ALM-related models; ensure appropriate methodology and usage across models.
• Ensure compliance with model risk management standards and internal governance.
• Provide input to governance committees and develop model risk reporting for audits.
