Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking a Vice President of Legal to lead the U.S. legal function for a growing renewable energy developer focused on solar and battery storage. The role is remote for West Coast-based candidates and partners with executives on project development, financing, and execution across utility-scale assets.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor, active U.S. Bar admission, 7–10 years post-qualification experience in renewables, and a hands-on approach to advise on contracts,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a U.S. law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar.
• 7–10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with renewable energy focus.
• 5+ years in renewable energy sector, preferably supporting utility-scale solar development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide legal support across utility-scale renewable energy projects including solar and battery storage.
• Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, LOIs, MSAs, vendor agreements, EPC contracts, PPAs and related documents.
• Support acquisitions, divestments and due diligence for renewable energy projects and M&A.
• Advise on project financing arrangements including construction loans and tax equity.
• Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and management of external counsel and paralegal support.
