Job description

A leading investment firm is seeking a VP Legal/Compliance Data Officer to manage their Compliance framework from a data and AI perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain enterprise-wide policies and procedures related to:
• Data collection, storage, retention, and disposal
• Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and AI regulations, including:
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update policies.
• Conduct compliance gap assessments and risk analyses.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Develop frameworks for AI risk classification and impact assessments.
• Develop and deliver training materials on data protection and responsible AI use.
• Work closely with Legal to interpret evolving regulatory requirements.
• Partner with IT and Security on technical control alignment.

Qualifications

• JD required
• 3+ years of experience in data protection, compliance, or risk management.
• Demonstrated experience drafting formal policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws and AI governance frameworks
