Job summary

SMBC is seeking an experienced Lead Python Full Stack Developer (Vice President) to design, build, and lead modern web applications using Python microservices and React micro frontends. You will guide technical design, coding standards, reviews, and deployments to meet enterprise quality, security, and performance standards.

The role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership, ownership of CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration with DevOps to automate build, test, and deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Django.
• Strong experience with FastAPI.
• Experience with Django REST Framework.
• Knowledge of Flask or similar Python frameworks.
• REST API and microservices architecture.
• Authentication and authorization patterns.
• ORM and database integration.
• Asynchronous/background processing concepts.
• API versioning and exception‑handling patterns.
• Unit and integration testing using Pytest.
• HTML5 / CSS.
• Component‑based frontend architecture.
• React Hooks.
• REST API integration.
• Micro frontend architecture.
• Frontend testing using Jest or React Testing Library.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of enterprise‑grade Python full stack applications.
• Design scalable microservices architectures using Python frameworks (Django, Django REST, FastAPI, Flask).
• Define boundaries between APIs, services, orchestration, persistence, and frontend apps.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and service‑to‑service integrations.
• Establish reusable libraries, API standards, error handling, and logging patterns.
• Prepare Technical Design Documents, architecture diagrams, and deployment designs.
• Participate in architecture reviews and ensure alignment with security standards.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and release processes with DevOps teams.
• Collaborate to automate build, test, security scanning, packaging, and deployments.
• Integrate React with Python-based REST APIs and microservices.
