Job summary

Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. in the United States is seeking a VP Property Underwriter to lead underwriting of large property business. The role reports to the SVP, Head of Large Property, with a hybrid work setup near one of our US offices.

The base salary is $195,000–$250,000, with potential for a performance bonus and comprehensive health, retirement, and time-off benefits. Ideal candidates have extensive knowledge of complex property risks and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
At least ten years of middle market or corporate property underwriting experience.
Experience underwriting global programs and broker networks.

Responsibilities

Build and underwrite a profitable middle market and corporate property book.
Develop broker relationships and maintain productive collaborations.
Apply risk selection and pricing methods aligned with Large Property strategy.
Collaborate with Actuarial, Claims, CAT Modelling, Data & Analytics, Operations, Finance teams.
Mentor junior underwriters and underwriter assistants.
Monitor market competition and overall property insurance trends.
