Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Vice President, Lab Services to lead laboratory operations across the network, including hospital-based labs in Valhalla, MHRH, HealthAlliance and Western Region Hospitals. The role focuses on quality, regulatory compliance, budget management and strategic growth.

Applicants should have a minimum of eight years in leadership roles within academic medical centers or integrated health systems, with a bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in laboratory sciences or related field is required.
• New York State license as a lab technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of lab operations for the WMC Health Network.
• Identify opportunities for strategic growth by insourcing or building lab capabilities in-network and divesting non-strategic services.
• Provide leadership and assess the performance of direct reports, including hiring decisions and budgeting.
• Communicate policy recommendations and actions related to the laboratory business to leadership.
• Advise leadership on budgeting, costs, and financial matters and participate in strategic planning.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and operational performance aligns with priorities.
