Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a VP, Middleware Engineering Manager to lead the Kafka and Swagger Hub platforms, guiding on-premises and cloud operations. The role focuses on strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across a global engineering team.

You will drive platform automation, IaC, and DevSecOps adoption while partnering with partners across the firm to deliver reliable messaging infrastructure that supports advisory platforms and client solutions.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years leading Kafka platform teams.
• 4+ years in platform engineering with Middleware tech.
• 5+ years delivering in Agile/Kanban with dependency management.
• 5-7 years Cloud, DevSecOps, IaC automation experience.
• 2+ years managing 24x7 support teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage Kafka messaging, streaming and integration platforms.
• Lead Kafka Middleware Platform Engineering Operations for on-prem and cloud.
• Develop strategy, roadmaps and metrics for Kafka platforms.
• Manage incident resolutions, upgrades, maintenance and automation.
• Onboard applications to messaging platforms and deliver self-service tooling.
