LPL Financial is seeking a VP, Middleware Engineering Manager to lead the Kafka and Swagger Hub platforms across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will drive platform strategy, governance, and operational excellence while developing a high‑performing, global engineering team.

Responsibilities include incident management, automation, cost control, and enabling application teams to leverage messaging platforms.

Qualifications

5-7 years leading high-performing Kafka platform teams.
4+ years in platform engineering and middleware management.
5+ years delivering and operating in Agile/Kanban environments.
5-7 years Cloud, DevSecOps, IaC, and platform automation experience.
2+ years managing 24x7 support teams.

Responsibilities

Manage Kafka messaging, streaming, and integration platforms powering advisory services.
Lead Kafka Middleware Platform Engineering Operations on prem and cloud.
Develop strategy, roadmaps, and operational metrics for Kafka platforms.
Oversee incident resolutions, upgrades, maintenance, and automation.
Onboard application teams to messaging platforms and deliver self-service tooling.
