Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Architecture Strategy & Engagement Leader (VP-level) in IST to drive architecture governance, engagement programs, and executive communications. You will partner with senior technology leaders to shape strategy and deliver scalable communication pathways across the division.

The role emphasizes storytelling, critical thinking, and proven ability to translate complex architecture into executive-ready narratives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in internal consulting, advisory/management consulting, technology strategy, enterprise architecture enablement, program communications, or executive communications.
• Proven ability to create executive-level decks that drive decisions.
• Strong storytelling skills: turn ambiguity into clarity; simplify complex technical topics.
• Demonstrated experience producing diagrams and visual frameworks (architecture views, operating models, roadmaps, capability maps).
• Experience running communications channels (newsletters, trainings, engagement sessions) with measurable results.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills; comfortable with senior leaders and technical experts.
• Strong writing, editing, and message discipline (tone, structure, brevity, clarity).
• High proficiency with slide tools (PowerPoint preferred) and visual communication standards.
• At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking an Architecture Strategy & Engagement Leader to serve as a strategic advisor and force multiplier for Architecture Governance leadership.
• Lead the development and execution of architecture engagement, communications, and enablement strategies that improve awareness, alignment, adoption, and execution of divisional architecture priorities.
• Partnering closely with senior technology executives, architects, governance leaders, and key stakeholders across the division, this individual will transform complex architectural and technology strategies into compelling executive narratives, impactful communications, and scalable engagement programs.
• The ideal candidate combines the structured problem-solving of a management consultant, the strategic influence, and exceptional executive storytelling and communications capabilities.
