Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City seeks a Data Scientist for the Internal Audit, Data Analytics team to lead refinement and prototyping of advanced analytics ideas that strengthen assurance, improve efficiency, and deliver clearer insights.

You will partner with audit stakeholders to move concepts from problem framing to feasibility, proof-of-concept, and hand-off to a product owner, combining leadership with deep technical expertise to drive innovative testing of controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional analytics initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning methods, NLP, and DL frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Experience applying Agile delivery practices in analytics projects.
• Hands-on data analysis and visualization proficiency.
• Ability to produce development-ready artifacts and decision materials.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop new analytics ideas aligned with audit priorities.
• Lead stakeholder sessions to refine problems and confirm needs.
• Define benefits and gather evidence to support proposals.
• Present findings to decision-makers to enable Go/No-Go decisions.
• Lead feasibility work from environment setup to prototyping and review.
• Produce clear documentation and hand-off artifacts to product owner.
• Promote collaboration and data governance understanding across teams.
