Job description

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Vice President – Interior Design – Food & Beverage is to provide strategic and creative leadership for Sands’ global hospitality portfolio. The role defines and advances the design vision, leading teams to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind guest experiences and award-winning projects that respond to patrons’ needs, strengthen relationships, and support business objectives. With expertise in food and beverage environments, the Vice President leads the full F&B design and development process – from concept development, brand positioning, and operational planning through documentation, procurement, construction, and opening – across owner-operated, leased, and licensed-partner venues. The role integrates guest experience, Front-of-House and Back-of-House functionality, culinary and service requirements, brand objectives, budget, schedule, and commercial performance to deliver destinations that are distinctive, operationally efficient, and financially sound. Sands Global Design maintains an international interior design presence dedicated to delivering “Design Excellence.” This mission supports measurable return on investment across business disciplines within Sands’ integrated gaming resorts in every region where the company operates. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide global leadership for Interior Design and advance Sands’ Design Excellence strategy across integrated resort, hospitality, gaming, food and beverage, rooms, retail, residential, and special-project portfolios. Establish a clear creative vision and translate business, brand, guest-experience, and operational objectives into distinctive, functional, and commercially sound design solutions. Lead design strategy, concept development, reviews, documentation, and realization from project initiation through completion, maintaining alignment among design intent, scope, budget, schedule, quality, and return on investment. Partner with senior executives, regional teams, business units, operations, architecture, development, procurement, and other stakeholders to build consensus and make timely, informed decisions. Integrate Interior Design with architecture and operational requirements to deliver cohesive, efficient, and high-performing guest environments. Select, negotiate with, contract, direct, and evaluate external consultants, including interior designers, architects, designers of record, lighting designers, art consultants, specialty consultants, and vendors. Lead, develop, and hold accountable a global design team; set priorities, allocate resources, remove obstacles, and provide the information and coaching required for strong performance and career growth. Present design strategies and recommendations with executive-level clarity and influence, while remaining willing to engage deeply in project details when required. Monitor global hospitality competition, emerging design trends, materials, technology, and best practices; apply relevant innovations to strengthen the Sands portfolio. Develop and improve design governance, standards, tools, and business processes to support consistent, efficient execution across regions. Serve as the face and voice of Global Interior Design, building productive relationships and influencing internal and external partners to achieve exceptional results. Deliver projects and initiatives safely, on time, within budget, and to the approved design and quality standards. Perform job duties in a safe manner. Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 21 years of age. Proof of authorization to work in the United States. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field. Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 20+ years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality design, including global hotels, resorts, branded residences, food and beverage venues, and preferably corporate or owner-side leadership. Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value design programs from strategy and concept through detailed documentation, procurement, construction, and opening. Exceptional design judgment, creative vision, business acumen, and ability to balance guest experience, operational performance, brand objectives, budget, schedule, and quality. Strategic, resourceful, collaborative, and comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to move between enterprise-level leadership and detailed problem solving without compromising standards.
