Job description

Job Summary

As Vice President, Insights & Analytics, you will lead GSTV’s Insights & Analytics team. This team is responsible for being category and outcomes experts who bring unique insights to sales and our clients during the pre-sales process and ensure timely and accurate delivery of post-campaign results.

This is a player/coach role. You will personally represent GSTV in client and prospect meetings as a category expert, while coaching the team to operate the same way. You’ll also identify new advertising opportunities and help position GSTV to prospective clients in key target markets, using research, analytics, and category insights to open doors ahead of the sales process.

The role is highly collaborative with sales, marketing, product and technology, and owns the analytics that demonstrate ROI and articulate GSTV’s story to advertisers and clients. The VP, Insights & Analytics will be instrumental in driving the strategy around our measurement and data partners, including evaluating third-party data and technology partnerships that strengthen targeting and attribution.

GSTV sits at the intersection of out-of-home (OOH), digital, and retail media, so an understanding of each channel’s needs and the ability to tailor insights and messaging to each channel is critical.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Organizational Leadership and People Management
  • Manage the Team: Coach and guide the insights and analytics team to perform at its highest potential, supporting GSTV’s cross-functional partners and addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Set Objectives and KPIs: Define objectives and key performance measures for the organization, directing activities in a way that aligns with GSTV’s culture and values while delivering results in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Improve Team Collaboration and Delivery: Evolve day-to-day processes and culture as needed to enable greater collaboration, faster delivery, and increased impact.
  • Manage Budgets: Draft and manage budgets and financial plans for your department and related projects, in conjunction with the SVP.
  • Oversee Hiring: Lead hiring across your department.
Category and Industry Expertise
  • Serve as a Category SME: Act as a hands‑on subject matter expert in key categories (e.g., CPG, Auto, QSR, Retail), representing GSTV in client and prospect meetings during pre‑sales.
  • Tailor Insights by Channel: Tailor insights and messaging across GSTV’s OOH, digital, and retail media businesses, since the right recommendation often differs by channel.
  • Partner with Sales: Work with sales during pre‑sales to translate category and audience insights into specific campaign recommendations that drive stronger outcomes.
  • Build Playbooks and Tools: Build category playbooks and insights tools that equip the team and sales to lead with expertise rather than coordinate vendor studies.
  • Stay Current: Remain current on industry trends, new technologies, and evolving best practices.
  • Advise Other Leaders: Provide expertise and guidance in the areas above to other leaders at GSTV.
  • Represent GSTV Externally: Represent GSTV at conferences, networking events, and other industry events.
Insights and Analytics Strategy
  • Own Insights and Analytics Strategy: Develop and continually refine the team’s strategy, ensuring it stays aligned to GSTV’s broader goals.
  • Align Team Structure to Strategy: Structure the team so its roles and capabilities match what the strategy requires, adjusting as the strategy evolves.
  • Lead Change Management: Drive adoption of the strategy across the team and its stakeholders, managing the transition as roles, workflows, or priorities shift.
  • Manage Partner Mix and Commercials: Ensure the team’s data, attribution, and AdTech partner mix is right for GSTV’s needs, and that commercial terms with those partners remain favorable.
  • Ensure Compliance: Protect the interests of GSTV, its partners, and its customers by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Define Success Metrics: Establish the metrics that show whether the strategy is working, and use them to course-correct when it doesn’t.

Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested.
