Qualifications

• 7+ years US information reporting and withholding tax advisory experience.
• Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written).
• Broad knowledge of financial products, including investment funds.
• Ability to quickly grasp and explain complex business transactions/products.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects.
• Ability to synthesize complex regulations into understandable terms.
• Ability to build positive relationships with businesses and team members.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret IRS information reporting and withholding guidance and assess impact on products and procedures.
• Monitor new products/transactions and ensure proper application of reporting rules.
• Comment on language in new business initiatives to ensure reporting requirements are clear.
• Meet with business and operations teams to ensure understanding of reporting requirements.
• Respond to day-to-day questions regarding tax documentation and reporting.
• Prepare and present training on information reporting topics when appropriate.
• Provide guidance on year-end reporting (Forms 1099, 1098, 1042-S).
• Comment on proposed regulations and industry issues.
