Job summary

Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to recruit a VP – Asset and Portfolio Analytics for a leading real estate investment firm. The role is based in Oakland, CA or Dallas, TX, and entails overseeing closed-end funds and separate accounts, driving portfolio performance, and investor reporting.

The candidate will collaborate across Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Acquisitions, Strategy and IT to execute business plans and budgets. Ten to fifteen years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the fund’s portfolio of industrial properties with responsibility for overall performance.
• Monitor the performance of value add strategies and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Acquisitions on potential new investments for funds and accounts.
• Evaluate portfolio performance against pro forma, internal business plans and benchmarks like NCREIF.
• Supervise creation of fund reporting materials including pitchbooks, quarterly letters and annual presentations.
• Develop annual Investment Plan and property-level operating and capital budgets and strategic plans.
• Coordinate with Debt Capital Markets on financing/leverage strategies.
• Manage quarterly and annual reporting with Accounting and Investor Relations.
• Oversee compliance with the fund’s operating agreement with the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Oversee external valuation process and coordinate reviews of appraisals.
• Participate in Investment, Allocation and Appraisal Committee meetings.
• Develop hold/sell analyses and annual business plans with Asset Management.
