Vice President – Head of Human Resources, Americas Region
Location: Americas Region
Reports to: Chief People, Organization & Culture Officer

Overview

Nilfisk is seeking a visionary, strategic, and people-first leader to serve as Vice President – Head of Human Resources for the Americas Region. This executive role is a key member of the global People, Organization & Culture Leadership Team, serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership in the Americas and a dedicated champion for our employees.

You will lead all aspects of the regional people strategy, including talent development, employee engagement, HR operations, and organizational culture, while also overseeing key administrative functions. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Partner with the Americas Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute a progressive, people-centered strategy aligned with Nilfisk’s mission, vision, and values.
• Serve as a strategic advisor in organizational planning, helping shape business direction through a people-first lens.
• Cultivate an inclusive, values-driven company culture that fosters connection, collaboration, accountability, and performance.
• Lead change management initiatives and strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization.

People & Culture Development

• Deliver to the global HR agenda – developing and launching global initiatives.
• Drive employee development through leadership training, coaching, performance management, and career progression programs.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, open feedback, and innovation.
• Equip managers with tools and training to lead high-performing, engaged teams.
• Utilize people analytics tools (e.g., Workday, Peakon) to monitor engagement, satisfaction, and productivity, turning insights into actionable strategy.
• Lead talent management initiatives focused on engagement, retention, and succession planning.
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across all functions and levels.

HR Operations & Administration

• Lead and develop regional HR Partner functions and administrative teams, including local Benefits and Payroll.
• Collaborate closely with Global HR Centers of Excellence, including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, HR Services, and Organizational Development.
• Oversee implementation of equitable, competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations throughout the Americas.
• Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues with fairness, empathy, and professionalism.
• Continuously improve systems for performance evaluation, workforce planning, and employee development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 2 years leading HR functions in a global, matrixed organization headquartered outside the U.S.
• Proven success driving strategic people initiatives, fostering culture, and improving employee engagement.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies with broader organizational goals.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance across the U.S. (multi-state) and Americas region.
• High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally.
