“Public Healthcare Costs at Private Healthcare Returns”

Alliance for Resilience in Healthcare (ARHC, pronounced ‘arc’) builds new healthcare systems where old ones have failed. When disasters hit or hospitals shut down, most recovery efforts aim to bring things back to how they were. Instead, we treat these moments as a chance to fix what was broken long before the crisis.

Our work focuses on communities that have been priced out, ignored, or left behind. Places where people skip going to the doctor because of cost or distance (often both). We install long-term healthcare systems where none exist, using flexible infrastructure, cost-saving care models, and partnerships that keep quality care local and affordable.

Our goal is to turn crises into opportunities to deliver public healthcare costs with private healthcare returns, proving that equity and excellence do not have to be at odds.

We are currently seeking passionate, high-integrity leaders to join our Board of Directors.

Open positions include: Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraising Officer, Legal Officer, Advocacy Officer. Please note that this is a working board position, in which you are expected to commit 4-6 hours/Week to your role.

We’re especially looking for individuals with experience in:

  • Nonprofit leadership and governance
  • Legal compliance or nonprofit law
  • Finance, audit, or accounting
  • Fundraising, philanthropy, or grant strategy
  • Disaster recovery or emergency management

Board Member Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and organizational oversight
  • Lead and actively manage your assigned initiative (e.g., fundraising, legal, advocacy)
  • Attend regular virtual meetings and serve on at least one committee
  • Contribute professional insight and support key decisions
  • Assist with fundraising through personal giving or outreach
  • Represent ARHC to partners, funders, and collaborators
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards of governance

Ideal Candidates:

  • Have deep experience in one or more focus areas
  • Align closely with ARHC’s mission and values
  • Are collaborative, engaged, and accountable
  • Bring diverse perspectives or lived experience that enrich board culture
  • Can commit roughly 15–20 hours per month, including meetings and leadership duties

What We Offer:

  • A chance to shape the future of healthcare access in vulnerable communities
