The Vice President of Health Plan Sales role is an individual contributor role responsible for closing deals with health plans with a focus in the Medicare/Medicaid lines of business. You will generate top-line revenue for Vynca by hunting new logos, identifying key stakeholders, presenting Vynca’s solutions to decision-makers, and closing direct deals with health plan clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of creating and qualifying opportunities, converting those opportunities to deals and closing deals year over year to meet or exceed quota.

This individual will have an inherent enthusiasm and curiosity for personal interaction enabling you to develop lasting relationships with clients at all levels of the organization. You generate the trust, confidence and excitement essential for a great customer experience, while establishing credibility for our company, solutions and brand. Delivering growth across the health plan market through creative outreach, targeting and building value for the prospects.

Success in this position will require drive and energy combined with knowledge of the product and attention to detail. This is a critical role and we're looking to fill it as soon as possible.

What you'll do

  • Bring new health plan logos to the Vynca family

  • Maximize opportunity conversion and deal closure rate

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the prescribed timeline

  • Expand Vynca’s footprint and market share by prospecting, driving deals to closure for revenue growth, product expansion and market development

  • Build strategic relationships within your accounts, across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise, including executive-level personnel

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers by learning their specific needs and showing them how our solution addresses those needs

  • Develop pitch decks and/or quarterly reports that enable you to use data to construct a powerful story that defines Vynca’s value proposition, for presentation to executive-level clients

  • Be able to work closely with internal partners—including product, operations, marketing, technology and finance personnel—to deliver on the revenue delivery side of Vynca’s strategic roadmap

  • Respond and/or follow-up on sales inquiries, activities and concerns by phone, electronically or in person

  • Coordinate end-to-end sales efforts with existing/potential customers and internal team members and other departments as needed

  • Maintain all outwards facing interactions with prospects and clients to the highest standard of appearance and quality

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services

  • Enhance and maintain our CRM solutions with sales activity records, prepare sales reports, monitor and report on sales activities and maintain accurate forecasts

  • Negotiate with clients and prepare and present sales contracts

  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships

  • Participate in conferences and events

  • Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer’s needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products and technologies

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Vynca’s solution and capabilities


Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 6-10+ years relevant work experience in a business-to-business selling environment with regulated medical products, technology or healthcare

  • A demonstrated ability to achieve sales quota based on past results

  • Results oriented, organized, efficient and a resourceful team player at ease in a dynamic collaborative environment

  • Skilled delivery of engaging, compelling sales and product presentations, in small and large group settings

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated comfort and finesse communicating with senior leadership teams both orally and in writing (proposals, emails and presentations)

  • Energy and passion for teamwork and collaboration

  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, metric-driven and changing environment

  • Tenacity and proficiency at developing “trusted advisor” status with investors and internal staff

  • Strong prospecting, cold-calling, lead generation, conversion and closing skills

  • Open to significant business travel

  • Excellent knowledge of and proficiency with MS Office suite, Google Suite and all video conferencing solutions

  • Proficiency in following CRM best practices

  • Excellent selling, negotiation and closing skills

  • Excellent prioritizing, time management, planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations and other materials tailored to the specific audience’s needs

  • Polished and professional oral and written communications with a strong attention to detail

  • Relationship management skills (persuasiveness, adaptability, resilience and tenacity)
