Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced workplace design leader to redevelop strategy, standards, and principles across a global real estate portfolio. You will create innovative, functional environments that promote collaboration, focus, and productivity while meeting codes and sustainability standards.

You will mentor an in-house designer, collaborate with Technology and Workplace Operations, and guide test-fit studies and space analyses at multiple locations worldwide. A strong portfolio is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of workplace strategy development and implementation within an architectural/interior design firm.
  • Excellent digital design presentation abilities.
  • 3D freehand sketching ability is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Portfolio showcasing recent workplace design projects.

Responsibilities

  • Redevelop, enhance, and implement global workplace design strategy, standards, and design principles.
  • Create innovative, high-quality, functional, and efficient workplace environments across Jobtailor’s global real estate portfolio.
  • Ensure designs promote collaboration, focus, flexibility, and productivity while complying with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Balance global design consistency with location-specific architectural character, culture, and context.
  • Support procurement and oversight of architectural, interior design, branding, and signage consultants.
  • Manage and mentor one in-house interior design/space planning direct report.
  • Partner with business unit leadership, Technology, and Workplace Operations to develop comprehensive project briefs.
  • Lead workplace design processes from test-fit plan development to project completion with PM teams and external consultants.
  • Produce multiple test-fit studies and conceptual layouts for prospective locations and renovation projects worldwide.
  • Conduct space utilization analyses and recommend workplace efficiency improvements.
  • Review contract documents and shop drawings for compliance with approved design intent.
  • Partner with Assets team on e-design presentations for client review and approval.
  • Develop branding and signage concepts, design studies, and presentation materials.
  • Maintain an accurate global database of office layouts and space plans.
  • Stay current with emerging workplace design trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements
