Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President in the Bank Debt Portfolio Group (BDPG) - TERM to lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex Letter of Credit transactions globally. You will advise deal teams and clients on LC mechanics and related credit agreements.

The role requires deep knowledge of LC literature, ISP98/UCP600/URDG758, and experience reviewing legal documentation to minimize risk and ensure robust reimbursement mechanisms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field (JD or MBA is a plus).
• 6–8+ years in structured trade finance, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, or legal role focusing on LC/bank guarantees.
• Knowledge of ISP98, UCP600, URDG758 and issue/documentation processes for LCs.

Responsibilities

• Structure LC facilities within complex debt transactions.
• Coordinate between front-office deal teams/clients and LC Operations.
• Review and negotiate credit agreements, security agreements, and LC texts to manage risk.
