Ladders is seeking a VP of Communications to lead the company’s global strategy in the consumer technology space, focusing on reputation, visibility, and executive presence during a period of rapid growth.

The role is remote and collaborative with senior leadership to craft narratives for external audiences, employees, analysts, and the media. It also leads crisis response, executive counsel, and storytelling across channels.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in tech or SaaS during hypergrowth or crisis periods.
• Proven track record in developing global external communications strategies, especially in AI.
• Experience leading a communications team through an IPO process, including media strategy and employee communications.
• Exceptional ability to simplify complex business concepts into clear narratives and multi-channel strategies.
• Strong crisis communications and reputation management skills.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with C-suite executives on strategic communications.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee media relations to enhance visibility and share of voice in key markets.
• Advise the executive team on external engagements and ensure consistent messaging.
• Ensure engaging internal communications that motivate and inform employees.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team, fostering growth and alignment with strategy.
• Manage crisis communications to protect the company's reputation during sensitive situations.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality written content, including press releases and social media posts.
• Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
• Lead reporter engagement programs to connect influential media contacts with the organization.
• Oversee analyst relations to maintain leadership in major industry evaluations.
