Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Business Manager for the Spectro Scientific Instruments segment in Chelmsford, MA.

The role oversees P&L, budget, and strategic growth across Sales, Marketing, Aftermarket and Engineering, working with the Fluid Analysis leadership team to drive profitability. You will lead a cross-functional team, develop marketing and product strategies, and evaluate new markets while ensuring alignment with AMETEK policies and strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field, Finance, Operations, Business Administration or other related field; MBA preferred.
• 10 years' experience in instrument manufacturing.
• Experience managing P&L and balance sheet as part of an executive team.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly business forecast.
• Assume responsibility for a P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Create the businesses’ annual operating budget.
• Manage Working Capital metrics to meet forecast and budget goals.
• Meet monthly forecast and budget order goals.
• Develop and execute the annual Strategic Business Plan.
• Drive product development and new product launches to grow revenue.
