Job summary

State Street seeks an AI System Design Architect (AVP) to own end‑to‑end GenAI platform architecture across AI stack, APIs, data flows, and downstream systems. You’ll define standards, integration contracts, and non‑functional requirements while ensuring security, resilience, and governance.

You will partner with product, engineering, data science, cloud, and control teams to deliver scalable, production‑grade AI solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–14 years of experience in solution/enterprise/AI/ML architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, ML systems, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI integration.
• Proven cloud architecture experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP; cloud‑native services knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end architecture and system design for a major GenAI platform domain.
• Define reference architectures, integration contracts, and non‑functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure AI solution designs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, cloud, and security teams.
