Pennymac, a leading mortgage-focused financial services firm, seeks a VP General Accounting at its Westlake Village location. The role drives financial analytics and reporting for core products, ensuring accurate and timely corporate accounting and compliance with regulations.

You will lead complex general ledger processes, coordinate variance analyses with managers, and guide integration of new business lines. Strong Excel/Visio/PowerPoint skills and 7+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Must be strong to advanced in Excel (complex formulas and pivot tables).
• Must be proficient with Visio and PowerPoint.
• MS SQL skills beneficial, not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain financial analytics and reporting to support the Companies’ financial products.
• Determine the impact on Corporate Accounting as VP General Accounting.
• Coordinate with unit managers regarding variance analysis and summarize into monthly senior management reporting.
• Facilitate integration of new business lines and products into departmental operations with GL entries and process flow documentation.
• Support SEC and regulatory financial reporting packages and statements for parent and subsidiary.
• Identify opportunities for accounting process efficiencies including technology solutions.
