A Typical Day
Oversees the development, distribution and utilization of data and metrics to predict, improve and measure the success of fundamental risks to the division/operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Executive Reporting and Analytics, management of Data Mart, Oversight of the Data Governance framework, operational capacity and forecast modeling and key corporate initiatives.
The FVP, Data & Analytics will:
- Evaluate, recommend and implement strategies for developing and utilizing data and metrics to predict, improve and measure the success of fundamental risks to the division/operation
- Manage and oversight of Executive Reporting and Analytics - Monthly Executive Management Reporting and business review presentations, as well as the creation of robust daily, weekly and monthly management reporting on key drivers and metric within the division/operation. to enhance revenue and eliminate costs. Providing dedicated analytical & reporting support for operations leaders, focusing on initiatives that will enable improvements in planning, efficiency, controls, and the client experience
- Development of operational capacity and forecast modeling. Volumes, staffing, etc.
- Oversight and management of Data Mart – responsible for the storage and transformation of enterprise information, providing tactical and strategic insight that will assist leaders' decision-making relative to operational and regulatory risks that impact business outcomes. Working with IT to ensure the correct protocol is followed when storing data, transforming data,
- Oversight and leadership of the Data Governance framework – provide direction to identify, design, implement, and support data quality improvement initiatives and solutions, while working with the business and IT partners to remediate identified gaps using both manual and automated solutions. Establish processes to continuously monitor data quality. Ensures processes are in place to proactively detect, correct, and prevent invalid data values. Works with business owners to define, implement and support data quality rules and definitions consistent with department and organizations strategies. Develops data quality metrics that identify gaps and ensure compliance with standards across the enterprise. Establishes data quality process, governance, and issue tracking process tools.
- Management and delivery of key corporate initiatives.
- Management and oversight of key financial impacting processes.
- Management and oversight of Investor and Business Partner contractual agreements related to reporting and data.
- Management and oversight of financial transfers, and alignment of internal and external parties involved in the transaction.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned

What You’ll Bring
- Proven SAS or SQL data mining skills and advanced skills using spreadsheet and presentation tools
- Strong understanding of the key financial and business drivers within mortgage banking
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment
- Proven ability and experience to query / analyze large data sets and assess outcomes
- Self-directed and skilled at operating autonomously to achieve results in a fast-paced business environment
- Strong leadership, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
- Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
