Overview

The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional responsible for staying current with developments within their field and contributing to strategic direction by applying their expertise to their role and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority within their area, requiring basic commercial awareness. This role involves guiding, influencing, and convincing colleagues and external customers, with a significant impact on complex deliverables and the overall performance of the sub-function.

Responsibilities

1. Develop detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
2. Interface with senior project staff and client management regarding project status.
3. Recommend and oversee process improvements.
4. Evaluate complex business and system processes, impacting the business significantly.
5. Provide expertise and advanced understanding of IT project leadership principles.
6. Understand how various areas (architecture, infrastructure) integrate to meet business objectives.
7. Influence strategic decisions through advice and counsel.
8. Act as an advisor or coach to junior staff and allocate work accordingly.
9. Conduct in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
