Job summary

Edelman Smithfield seeks a Vice President to lead accounts and teams for a portfolio of financial industry clients, including private equity firms and banks. You will provide strategic counsel to senior executives and oversee media relations with top-tier outlets.

You will guide pitches, drive thought leadership, and coordinate with Edelman colleagues worldwide to grow the practice and deliver best-in-class client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in financial communications.
• Strong understanding of the financial regulatory environment.
• Strong writing, presentation and analytical skills.
• Experience counseling senior executives in capital markets.
• Extensive media relations experience with top-tier outlets.

Responsibilities

• Lead client accounts and assign resources across Edelman teams.
• Shape pitches and new business efforts in financial communications.
• Drive marketing and IP development for opportunities in finance.
• Take relationship ownership with C-suite executives and client teams.
• Collaborate across Edelman Smithfield and Edelman offices globally.
• Ensure proactive, high-quality delivery and attention to detail.
