Job summary

Mutual of America Financial Group is seeking a Vice President of Finance Operations (FINOP) to lead regulatory compliance and financial oversight for our broker-dealer activities. The role partners with senior leadership, Compliance, Finance, Legal and Operations to ensure strong capital management and reporting.

The VP Finance Operations will oversee accounting, controls, and financial reporting, driving risk management and regulatory readiness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Active Series 27 license required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• 10+ years in broker-dealer finance, regulatory reporting, operations or compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of SEC, FINRA, SIPC and broker-dealer regs.
• Experience preparing FOCUS, net capital computations and regulatory filings.
• Proven audits/regulatory examination management.
• Strong analytical, financial and risk management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance for broker-dealer operations.
• Maintain FINOP responsibilities for regulatory registrations (Series 27).
• Ensure SEC/FINRA/SIPC and state compliance and timely filings.
• Prepare and review financial statements and capital calculations.
• Manage internal controls and risk-based supervisory procedures.
• Liaise with regulators, external auditors, and examiners.
• Guide senior leadership on financial strategy and regulatory impact.
• Improve operational efficiency while maintaining compliance.
