Job summary

Morgan Stanley in New York is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President to structure and price derivative solutions for corporate and wealth-management clients.

You will manage and hedge the desk’s trading books daily, conduct fundamental and market analysis, collaborate across Global Capital Markets, and drive technology initiatives to enhance trading and risk management.

Base pay is expected between $150,000 and $250,000 per year, with additional bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of experience in equity derivatives trading.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to understand, value, and manage complex derivative payoffs and risk exposures.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A demonstrated willingness to learn quickly, assume increasing responsibility, and contribute across multiple aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

• Structuring and pricing derivative transactions tailored to the needs of corporate and wealth management clients.
• Managing and hedging the desk’s trading books on a daily basis, working closely with traders across desks as well as external brokers and counterparties.
• Conducting fundamental and market-driven analysis of equities and broader market conditions to assess risk and support trading decisions.
• Partnering with colleagues across Global Capital Markets and the broader IED derivatives platform to develop client solutions and generate new business opportunities.
• Driving strategic technology and infrastructure initiatives in collaboration with desk strategists and technology teams to enhance trading, risk management, and operational efficiency.
