Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Vice President, Business Analyst for the Equities Technology group in New York. Lead analysis and documentation of strategic Equities Risk initiatives, translating complex business needs into scalable requirements while coordinating a small development team and stakeholders across regions.

The role emphasizes business analysis with project oversight, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to delivery milestones in a fast-paced trading technology environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience within Equities, Capital Markets, or Financial Technology.
• Strong business analysis experience in Equities, with demonstrable ability to produce high-quality requirements documentation.
• Experience defining test strategies and leading test execution.
• Ability to work effectively across global teams and time zones.
• Project management experience or certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile).
• Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) to manage project deliverables and requirements traceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, definition, and documentation of business requirements for strategic Equities Risk initiatives.
• Provide project oversight and reporting to support programme delivery.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, and Technology to elicit, define, and prioritise requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria and support test strategy definition and UAT coordination.
• Build strong relationships with the global Equities business for effective communication across regions.
