Job summary

WSP USA invites a Vice President, Environmental Energy Technical Director to join the South Mountain Earth and Environment Team in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on leadership of energy infrastructure siting, permitting, and construction of transmission lines, renewables, and midstream pipelines.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of licensing and permitting experience, including ACC CEC, and a proven record of mentoring staff and managing complex multi-location projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of licensing and permitting experience including ACC CEC in Arizona and southwestern states.
• 5+ years leading ACC Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical director, project director, and project manager for South Mountain energy portfolio projects.
• Develop and mentor staff across multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead and coordinate ACC CEC process and regulatory permitting activities.
• Oversee routing/siting, federal/state/local land use permitting, and construction compliance.
• Manage client relationships, project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting.
