Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management to lead and mature its ERM program while embedding risk thinking into strategic planning and governance. The role focuses on risk governance, privacy and AI governance, and regulatory reporting across the organization.

You will partner with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and business leaders to advance risk maturity, build KRIs and dashboards, and present risk insights to the Executive Team and Board, fostering

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in ERM, governance, compliance, legal, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field is required.
• MBA or JD and/or professional certifications (ARM, CRISC, CISA, CIPP, CISSP) preferred.
• Experience presenting enterprise risk insights and recommendations to Boards of Directors.
• Experience leading cross-functional risk programs in highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ERM strategy, framework, and operating model.
• Develop risk appetite statements and tolerance thresholds aligned with strategy.
• Integrate enterprise risk considerations into strategic planning, M&A, and tech initiatives.
• Provide enterprise risk reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
• Advance privacy governance and AI governance within risk management.
