Job summary

MCC is seeking a strategic enterprise data leader to drive the global data, analytics, and forecasting agenda. You will govern the data ecosystem, analytics, data lake design, and data standards while partnering with executives to improve decision-making and financial outcomes.

You will build a high-performing global data team, define standards, and ensure production support and modernization of platforms, delivering measurable business impact across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data and analytics.
  • Proven success delivering global data platforms, analytics, governance, and forecasting solutions.
  • Strong executive communication, vendor management, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the multi-year enterprise data strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Establish a scalable global data operating model balancing speed, quality, compliance, and cost.
  • Own the global analytics and reporting portfolio with trusted metrics across the enterprise.
  • Lead design, implementation, and operations of the enterprise data lake and pipelines.
  • Define internal SLAs and drive service improvement for KPIs not met.
  • Oversee data architecture, governance, and master data management strategies.
  • Lead modernization and retirement of legacy data platforms and reduce technical debt.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global data and analytics team.

Position Summary

The Vice President, Enterprise Data Leader is accountable for the enterprise-wide strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of data, analytics, and forecasting capabilities across a global enterprise. This leader establishes and governs the end-to-end data ecosystem—including analytics and reporting, the enterprise data lake, data architecture, data standards, and master data management—while ensuring reliable production support and modernization through retirement of legacy data platforms. The role partners with business executives and IT leaders to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions that improve decision-making, forecasting accuracy, operational performance, and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and execute the multi-year enterprise data strategy aligned to business priorities and enterprise IT goals.
  • Establish a scalable global data operating model balancing speed, quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Analytics, Reporting & Decision Support
  • Own the global analytics and reporting portfolio, ensuring trusted, consistent metrics across the enterprise.
  • Drive adoption of standardized reporting, self-service analytics, and decision-support tools.
  • Measure Analytics success through tangible business outcomes.
Data Lake, Data Engineering & Production Support
  • Lead design, implementation, and operations of the enterprise data lake and integration pipelines.
  • Ensure strong production support, monitoring, incident management, and operational documentation.
  • Define internal service level agreements with internal customers. Leverage enterprise service management capabilities to measure and report on adherence to the SLAs. Create service improvement plans for KPIs that are not consistently met.
Data Architecture, Standards & Governance
  • Define enterprise data architecture, integration patterns, and modeling standards.
  • Partner with other IT functional leaders to rollout data standards. Audit data standard compliance and create and execute projects to update source systems not meeting the data standard requirements.
  • Lead data governance, quality management, metadata, and stewardship frameworks.
Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Own enterprise MDM strategy and execution for core domains such as Customer, Item and Vendor/Supplier.
  • Partner with business functions to develop sustainable data stewardship processes.
  • Measure MDM success through tangible business outcomes.
Forecasting Enablement
  • Enable financial, demand, and supply forecasting through integrated data platforms and analytics.
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain leaders to improve forecast accuracy and business impact.
  • Roll out enterprise demand and supply chain forecast applications globally
  • Define internal service level agreements with internal customers. Leverage enterprise service management capabilities to measure and report on adherence to the SLAs. Create service improvement plans for KPIs that are not consistently met.
Data Retention, Archiving & Compliance
  • Own enterprise data retention and archiving policies and enabling solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with global retention requirements while reducing risk and storage cost.
  • Partner with Internal Audit team to ensure policies and solutions meet internal and statutory compliance requirements
Legacy Platform Modernization
  • Lead modernization and retirement of legacy data platforms.
  • Reduce technical debt and total cost of ownership while ensuring business continuity.
Leadership & Relationship Management
  • Build and lead a high-performing global data and analytics team.
  • Develop cost-efficient staffing models to maximize delivery capacity and velocity.
  • Manage strategic vendors and external service partners.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to senior business leaders and internal customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other IT leaders to deliver integrated enterprise solutions.
