Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group seeks a VP of Business Development and Expansion to transform and expand an established vascular-device clinical trials platform into a national research organization. The role requires building scalable, compliant processes, forging major partnerships, and leading diverse teams across sites.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in senior clinical research leadership, deep FDA/ICH-GCP/device trial knowledge, and a proven track record of growth in CRO/SMO or sponsor

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business and operational leadership in CRO/SMO or sponsor environments.
• Deep knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and device trial requirements.
• Proven experience scaling multi-site clinical research operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive a long-term growth strategy for the clinical research business.
• Define organizational structure, governance and processes for scalable growth.
• Forge strategic relationships with hospitals, health systems, device manufacturers and investigators.
• Lead innovation and operational excellence across research operations.
• Oversee site identification, activation, budgeting, contracting and compliance.
• Expand operations into new facilities and investigator networks.
• Scale functions: Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Data Management, Site Management, Monitoring, QA, Vendor Management.
• Build centralized systems to support multi-site trial execution.
• Develop sponsors, CROs and partners relationships; craft offerings and pricing; represent at conferences.
• Recruit, mentor and lead high-performing teams; foster integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
