Job summary

The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is seeking a Vice President, Development to lead all fundraising and development activities, shaping strategy with the President & CEO and EVP/COO. The VP oversees a six-person team and will expand foundations, corporations, and individual giving to sustain an $18M budget.

The role requires cultivating major donor relationships, managing donor events, and collaborating across the matrixed organization to secure funding for new initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising programs.
  • Experience building and sustaining donor relationships with foundations, corporations, and individuals.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and growing donor pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, leadership, and strategy for stewardship and sustainable growth across the organization.
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a development team of six professionals.
  • Oversee cultivation and solicitation of major donors and foundations.
  • Collaborate with President/CEO and Boards to align fundraising with strategic priorities.
  • Expand national foundation and individual donor base; diversify revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement data-driven fundraising strategies and performance metrics.
