Job summary

The Vice President of Development at Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina provides strategic and operational leadership for BCH's fundraising functions, aligning annual giving, major gifts, legacy giving and grantwriting with the organization's mission. Reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and guides the fundraising team to translate strategy into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive fundraising experience.
• Experience in faith-based organizations preferred.
• Ability to interpret fundraising data and forecast.
• Ability to translate strategy into plans and execution.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine BCH's fundraising strategy with the CAO.
• Translate strategy into annual plans and objectives for core functions.
• Ensure coordination of annual, major giving, legacy giving and grantwriting.
• Monitor revenue, pipeline, and KPIs with a fundraising scorecard.
• Lead and develop fundraising staff and foster accountability.
• Represent BCH in organizational planning and collaboration.
