Job summary

Morgan Stanley’s MSDE in the Technology division seeks a hands-on Developer Engagement Engineer to help scale adoption of AI coding tools and improve developer experiences across the firm. This Software Engineering role sits at Vice President level and emphasizes practical impact and tooling.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on software development experience with modern engineering workflows (PRs, CI/CD).
  • Experience evaluating AI coding tools and their integration into real workflows.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SDLC practices or regulated tech environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Run demos, workshops, and enablement sessions for developers.
  • Identify practical AI tool use cases across coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, and code review.
  • Create reusable examples and guidance that accelerate adoption.
  • Translate developer feedback into actionable insights for platform and product teams.
  • Shape adoption strategy through rollout planning, usage analysis, and continuous improvement.
