Job summary

Ares Management is seeking a Vice President, Defined Contribution to join the RIA & Family Office Partnerships team. This role will drive defined contribution strategy across retirement channels, working with RIAs, recordkeepers, and platform partners to grow adoption of private market solutions.

The successful candidate will coordinate with distribution, product, marketing, legal, operations, and investment teams to advance strategic initiatives and deliver growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in defined contribution or retirement consulting.
• Strong understanding of the defined contribution landscape (401(k), 403(b), 457, etc.).
• Experience with RIAs, family offices, retirement advisors, consultants, recordkeepers, or wealth management platforms.
• Demonstrated relationship management and business development experience with institutional or intermediary clients.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to operate across multiple stakeholders and manage several strategic initiatives.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the defined contribution strategy across RIA, family office, and broader wealth management channels.
• Partner with the RIA & Family Office sales team to uncover opportunities at retirement and wealth channels intersection.
• Develop and execute business plans and sales strategies to increase awareness and adoption of AWMS investment solutions.
• Monitor retirement industry developments, regulatory changes, and product innovation to identify opportunities.
