Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Data Governance Lead within the Data Catalog Governance team to own key reporting and insights on metadata change management and quality. You will collaborate with technology, product, and data owners to close gaps and improve data lineage and data contracts.

You will communicate with senior leaders and translate complex data into actionable recommendations, delivering executive-ready materials and drive governance improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in data governance, data analytics, risk, controls, compliance, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of applied experience in data governance, data analytics, data lineage, risk, controls, or compliance
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python for analysis, automation, and reporting
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, including strong data storytelling and executive communication
• Experience with Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation
• Intermediate skills in Tableau to build and maintain insightful dashboards and visualizations
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts and familiarity with common Artificial Intelligence tools
• Experience working in Amazon Web Services environments, including collaborating with engineering teams on data platforms
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across functions and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Execute reporting for metadata change volume, closure, and aging; synthesize insights and communicate trends to stakeholders
• Monitor metadata quality and workflow health, identifying risks and opportunities to improve execution and transparency
• Partner with technology teams to remediate functional gaps and reconciliation issues in the data catalog
• Manage intake of functional requirements across demand channels; clarify needs, document outcomes, and track delivery
• Build strong working relationships with controls partners, product teams, data owners, and technology stakeholders
• Provide structured problem-solving and clear recommendations to support tactical fixes and long-term improvements
• Support cross-functional efforts for data lineage and data contracts through coordination, standards alignment, and adoption support
• Create clear, executive-ready materials that translate data into actions and decisions
