present of AI seeks a senior data leader to own the data lifecycle for its AI-driven finance and consumer goods reports. You will set metrics, govern definitions, and defend data choices to leadership while still writing SQL and shaping the team's work.
You will build and scale the data foundation, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide a small team through ingestion, modeling, and delivery of trusted dashboards and customer reports.
This role owns data from start to finish: how it comes in, how it is stored and modeled, and how it reaches internal dashboards and customer reports. A strong candidate has run a data function end to end before, built it up from an early or messy state, hired and led a team, and can still write SQL and review work while the team is small. Turning a vague ask for better data into a clear plan and defending the trade-offs to leadership matters as much as the technical calls.
The product is an AI system for finance work in consumer goods, so clean, well defined data is the base everything else rests on. AI can speed up pipeline building and flag odd numbers, but someone still has to set the metric definitions, decide what is worth building, and answer when a number is wrong. The role stays human at the level of judgment, standards, and ownership.
Working here means building the data foundation that feeds AI driven finance and trade reporting for consumer brands, which teaches how models and reports depend on reliable pipelines and shared definitions. A candidate can prepare by getting hands on with warehouse, orchestration, and modeling tools and by owning data quality and governance in practice. Experience making numbers trustworthy for customer facing reports is the most direct proof.
