Job summary

Talently is seeking a VP, Legal Counsel to lead data center lease negotiations for enterprise clients, including hyperscalers. The role is remote with travel up to 20% within the U.S. and is based out of Denver, CO.

The candidate will bring a J.D., active U.S. bar membership, 10+ years of legal experience, and at least 3 years negotiating large-scale data center leases. Base salary ranges from $250k to $300k plus bonus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 10+ years of overall legal experience.
• 3+ years negotiating large-scale data center leases with hyperscalers.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating data center leases and service agreements with enterprise clients including hyperscalers.
• Advising on deal structuring for complex, multi-party transactions.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, project and finance teams.
• Developing scalable legal infrastructure with templates, playbooks and processes.
• Managing outside counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality support.
• Supporting broader legal operations, including compliance and risk management.
