Job summary

HWThree, a leading financial services partner, seeks a VP Data Analytics Audit to lead analytics-enabled control testing within Internal Audit. This individual contributor role demands extensive auditing experience in data analytics across banking and capital markets.

You will drive analytics program execution, develop scalable analytics solutions, and advise audit teams on data sourcing and interpretation, while collaborating with Technology and Business teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Regulatory Examination, or related function within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of data extraction, transformation, analytics, and visualization tools (SQL, Python, PySpark, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with databases and data platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience with cloud data, ETL, and data integration technologies (Azure Data Factory, Airflow, SSIS).
• Experience in banking, capital markets, treasury, risk management, or related areas with risk/control understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Internal Audit Data Analytics program across audit execution, continuous monitoring, and reporting.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable analytics plans, deliverables, and timelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain audit analytics routines for planning, execution, and management reporting.
• Expand full-population testing, anomaly detection, trend analysis, and data-driven control testing.
• Establish standardized analytics methodologies, assets, and playbooks aligned with IA standards.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, and preparation with Technology and Business teams.
• Manage analytics infrastructure, tools, and ensure scalable, well-documented solutions.
• Develop automated testing and continuous monitoring to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Serve as analytics advisor to audit teams and stakeholders on data sourcing and interpretation.
• Lead complex analytics projects including regulatory-driven initiatives and cross-audit programs.
• Track analytics adoption and reporting for IA leadership; support dashboards.
• Mentor and develop junior Data Analytics staff with performance management.
