Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Milwaukee seeks a transformative Vice President, Research & Development to define the Ingredients Division’s technology and innovation strategy, translating market needs into scalable dairy-ingredient solutions from discovery to first production.

You will lead a global, customer-focused technical organization and align capabilities with strategic growth. You will own the whey- and milk-based protein portfolio, drive stage-gate governance, manage budgets, and build

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in dairy/food science or related field is required; advanced degrees preferred.
Strong leadership of large technical teams and budgets is essential.
Experience defining strategy and commercializing B2B dairy ingredients.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the R&D and technology strategy for the Ingredients Division.
Own the innovation portfolio with stage-gate governance and business cases.
Lead end-to-end development of whey/milk proteins and other ingredients, from discovery to first production.
Partner with Commercial, Operations, Quality and Regulatory to ensure scalable, compliant solutions.
Drive digital R&D capabilities and data-driven decision making across labs and plants.
Establish standards, documentation, and knowledge management for the division.
