Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President II, Cybersecurity Engineering - Security Tools in Austin, TX. You will lead the strategy, design, and evolution of our cybersecurity tooling platforms across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, security engineering, or tooling management.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing security engineering or tooling teams.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with enterprise security platforms (SIEM/EDR/XDR).
• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder management.
• 5+ years of automating security/workflows with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of security tools (SIEM, XDR, EDR, email gateways, vulnerability platforms).
• Develop and execute a tooling strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Automate threat detection, response, and compliance reporting using scripting languages.
• Report security tooling metrics and risk to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent while promoting accountability and engineering excellence.
