Job summary

ING is seeking a VP, Cybersecurity Technology Engineer in New York to translate strategy into measurable execution across Wholesale Banking. You will lead AI security initiatives, ransomware resilience, IAM, and ongoing advancement of cybersecurity technologies and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, information systems, risk management, business, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the CISO in delivering key cybersecurity, technology, resilience, and governance priorities.
• Coordinate security projects across technology, business, risk, legal, compliance, audit, and security teams.
• Prepare clear updates for management on progress, risks, and upcoming priorities.
• Track cybersecurity projects, regulatory requirements, and remediation activities through completion.
• Support secure use of Frontier AI by conducting risk assessments and defining security controls.
• Work with cross-functional teams to embed security across AI agentic solutions.
• Monitor AI-related threats and drive practical security improvements.
• Help coordinate ransomware readiness and cyber recovery activities, including tabletop exercises.
• Define responsibilities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes for cybersecurity initiatives.
• Support risk assessments, audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation while coordinating with regional and global teams.
