Job summary

J.P. Morgan, NY-based, seeks a Vice President for Credit Portfolio Management & Research. You will support loan portfolio management through credit analysis, modelling, and valuation, and generate trade ideas to assist portfolio managers and traders.

The role emphasizes collaboration, meticulous financial work, and ongoing analysis of CPG originated SRTs. Ideal candidates bring strong accounting, quantitative skills, and experience communicating complex ideas to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in banking, research or accounting‑focused roles.
• Strong credit analysis, financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to train junior staff.
• Progress toward CFA designation is preferred.
• Experience with portfolio management or research is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Formulate credit and relative value views around positions in the portfolio.
• Build and maintain models to project cash flows and perform valuation.
• Develop and communicate portfolio management strategies to teams.
• Analyze financial statements, perform modeling and valuation analyses.
• Cover multiple credits in a dynamic market and assess opportunities.
• Oversee and coach junior researchers; support data analysis tasks.
