Job summary

Hw3 Llc partners with a global financial institution to hire a Vice President for the Internal Audit team with responsibility for Credit Risk coverage across banking and capital markets activities in New York.

The role is hands-on, leading risk-based audits, validations, risk assessments and continuous monitoring within the Credit Risk framework, partnering with senior stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Internal Audit, Credit Risk, regulatory supervision or related control function.
• Strong understanding of credit risk within banking and capital markets contexts.
• Experience leading audits, reviews, testing or issue-validation work.
• Knowledge of wholesale credit, counterparty credit risk or traded products is desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Credit Risk audits including planning, fieldwork, reporting and issue follow-up.
• Assess effectiveness of credit risk governance, controls and risk-management practices.
• Review credit risk across wholesale lending and capital markets activities.
• Lead validation of regulatory and internal audit findings and assess remediation effectiveness.
• Identify emerging risks and contribute to annual audit planning and risk assessment.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Internal Audit, Risk Management and the wider business.
• Support regulatory and external-audit interactions as required.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to audit methodology and analytics development.
