Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President in New York City to lead credit origination within the GP Coverage and Sourcing team. The role focuses on sourcing and structuring private credit opportunities for GS Wealth clients, while coordinating across investment teams and external managers.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in wealth/asset management or related fields, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
• 7+ years' experience in wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equity.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 must be obtained within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Help establish and manage GS relationships with internal and external fund managers, with focus on credit, to source and originate new alternative investment offerings across the credit ecosystem.
• Serve as an alternative investment strategist, helping establish GS Wealth's house view on current private market trends and opportunities.
• Assist in advising on ACM sales strategy across client segments and develop fundraising strategies.
• Lead marketing of alternative investment offerings for credit across GS client segments and regions, including fundraising activity and collateral development.
• Coordinate across AIP, GS CIO, investment teams and external managers to educate on themes and portfolio implementation.
