Job summary

National Life Group in Addison, TX is seeking a seasoned Corporate Development professional to support sourcing, evaluation, and execution of reinsurance and M&A opportunities. You will work closely with the VP, Corporate Development to build financial models, assess market opportunities, and coordinate across finance, legal, and operations.

The role requires 10+ years in insurance, deep knowledge of life products, and strong communication with senior executives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field is required.
10+ years of relevant experience in the insurance industry with 5+ years in corporate development, reinsurance, or related transactions.
Significant knowledge of life insurance, annuities, retirement products, or related lines.
Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence; actuarial experience is a plus.
Strong leadership and ability to communicate with senior executives.

Responsibilities

Deal sourcing and evaluation: build and maintain a pipeline of strategic partnerships and reinsurance opportunities.
Transaction execution: manage components of the reinsurance/M&A lifecycle, including due diligence and negotiation.
Financial and market analysis: develop sophisticated financial models and validate business cases.
Cross-functional interaction: coordinate with finance, legal, operations, and other teams.
Stakeholder management: support the VP as a liaison with external partners and investors.
Reporting and presentation: prepare detailed business cases, memos, and board-level reports.
Strategic planning: identify industry trends and competitive landscapes to guide long-term strategy.
