Job summary

Hyland is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development to lead inorganic growth, identify opportunities, and shape the company’s strategic direction. You’ll partner with the CEO, CSO, CFO, and business leaders to evaluate investments, acquisitions, and strategic transactions that align with Hyland’s roadmap.

In this remote role, you’ll report to the executive leadership and work with the Board to translate market insights into high-impact growth initiatives, manage end-to-end deal

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or related strategic leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex M&A transactions and enterprise-level strategic growth initiatives.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors on strategic investment and growth decisions.
  • Strong background within enterprise software, SaaS, information management, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Proven ability to translate market insights and business strategy into actionable, high-impact growth opportunities.

  • Develop and lead the company's corporate development strategy, identifying inorganic growth opportunities that expand capabilities, accelerate innovation, and unlock new markets.
  • Lead the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions — from opportunity assessment through integration — ensuring alignment with business strategy and stakeholder priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on corporate development activities, market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic investment opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, CFO, and business leaders to evaluate strategic growth priorities and inform capital allocation decisions.
  • Drive a disciplined approach to realizing strategic and financial value from completed transactions, evaluating performance against expected outcomes and incorporating lessons learned.
  • Identify and evaluate alliances, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships that expand market reach, accelerate innovation, and create competitive advantage.
