Job summary

Lenox Advisors, a subsidiary of NFP Corp., seeks a Vice President, Controller to lead the accounting function, drive accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls across a complex, multi-entity organization in New York. Qualifications

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Ability to interpret financial results and communicate insights to leaders.
• Ability to lead initiatives across functions and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across a complex, multi-entity organization.
• Own the integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, accounting policies, balance sheet substantiation, intercompany accounting, and related controls.
• Deliver financial statements and management reporting that clearly communicate business performance, financial results, trends, and risks.
• Analyze financial results and translate key drivers, trends, and issues into useful insights for leadership.
• Partner with corporate accounting, compliance, internal audit, and external auditors on reporting, audit, accounting, and control matters.
• Advise business leaders on accounting and reporting considerations related to business decisions and transactions.
• Develop accounting professionals and create an environment that supports accountability, collaboration, and growth.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through accounting diligence, reporting integration, and post-acquisition accounting activities.
• Lead initiatives that simplify processes, improve reporting capabilities, strengthen controls, and enable the accounting function to scale with the organization.
